Why Not Knit?

After many consecutive days of busy, busy, busy-ness, my divider supply inventory is depleted.  With all of the more than competent and amazing graphic designers on Etsy, I'd like to say to all of my customers that I am so grateful that they chose Hisglory.etsy.com!

I have gone from sending out one to two packages every couple of days to actually using the bin from the Post Office.

Due to the inability to make dividers, I have closed my shop for a few days.  I awakened yesterday morning asking myself what, oh, what should I do?  Answers to dilemmas such as this should not be given too hastily.  Should I clean, should I read, should I slumber the day away,  hmmmm?

After much deliberating (not really) I cast on a pair of fun child size socks.  I purchased this yarn probably 4 years ago with the intention to make socks for myself.  What was I thinking?  As much as I love color, these are a little too playful for me.

I am using Online Supersocke 100 Fun Color.  I cast on 44 stitches, which should work for a 3-4 year old.  The entire sock is knit in a 3 X 1 rib, with the addition of 3 rows of loops.  I found instructions for the loops here:  http://www.crazyauntpurl.com/archives/2005/12/loopy_is_the_ne.php.  I have purchased a couple of pair of Regia's clear boots and the socks will be sold as a nice accessory for them.  I will see how they move in my Etsy shop as well as my physical store over at The Market in OKC.

Well, I have only a couple of carefree knitting days left, I will reopen my shop Thursday morning or afternoon.  More socks to come!  BTW I have been making baby booties and hats...just haven't shown them yet.

Have a terrific Tuesday!!
