As I stated yesterday, in celebration of new items to be added to my Etsy store, this bag is up for virtual grabs. It is 6 1/4 inches wide, has a depth of 7 inches (4 inches beyond the zipper), and has plenty of room for a small project and all of the accessories needed to make it. I added a coordinating giraffe print for the handle and bottom of the bag. The bag is reinforced with heavy interfacing and lined with black quilted fabric.

This is such a darling project bag! The colors are really fun! I'm not sure I have too much funny to say. I did wake up one night holding a ball of yarn, and no that is not a joke. I really did. That was definitely strange (and funny)!
ReplyDeleteI can't knit or crochet. This is not for want of trying. I can crochet the prettiest LONGEST string you ever did see. I have a small but lovely yarn collection in wool, cotton and other fuzzy fibers. I still have hope that one day it will "click". Until then, I still have sewing and embroidery to keep me (sorta)sane.

Funny but sad -- I was knitting a pair of socks and had to try them on to make sure they fit. I was just before the toe decreases. As I leaned over to put them on I heard a crunch: had leaned on and broken (splintered!) two of my bamboo dpns that were on the couch beside me
ReplyDeleteMy knitting experience is tiny because of my ridiculous inability to count! Crocheting is easier for me because it's easier to undo! I tried knitting the lovely spiral baby blanket (found a pattern on the web somewhere) and couldn't even get the tiny center stitches started on dpns. Had to have my grandmother help me get started, she got the first few rounds done, I then promptly dropped the needles out of the stitches. Bah!
ReplyDeleteThe pouch is lovely, thanks for the chance at your giveaway!
Hi, Zina, I just stumbled across your blog for the first time. Your projects and bags are so lovely. I hope the etsy items do well! I'm heading over to take a look.
ReplyDeleteFunny knit, hmmmm....My friends and I talk about involuntary swatching, i.e. having to rip because you were too lazy to swatch and it's not working out.
My funny crochet story. Being an amatuer crocheter I thought i'd go out on the whim and try to make a small toy for my puppy to play with. I was almost done, when I put it down to do something in the other room. I heard my puppy barking and went to check on him. I saw he was barkin at my project and laughed cause I was guessing he was scared or bothered by it. He wasnt messin with it so i left it alone. I came back and it was everywhere. I guess the roomie's cat was scared too, cause he ripped it to shreds. I didnt know what to do but laugh. My roomies face was priceless, she thought i was gonna have a cow. Lol.
