Hand Knits Socks and Clear Boots

I have neglected to show pictures of the many items that I have made over the past month or so.  These socks, were among those items and I took pictures this morning for my Etsy shop.  With all of the pompom makers that I have, I am always trying to incorporate a pompom into my projects.  Sometimes they never make it to the pictures, but it is not for a lack of trying.

These boots are only available in children's sizes now.  I remember some years back that my LYS sold them in adult sizes, but the adult sizes may not have sold well.

I changed out  the black shoe strings for fun orange ones 'cause they look good with the socks--at least I think so anyway.

In retrospect, I wish that I had knit the leg shorter, closer to the top of the boot.  Maybe that is how I will make the next pair.

My puppy was in the shot, but he moved just as I was taking the pictures.  He will turn one on October 17 and with so many birthdays in October, I don't know what we will do for the pup.  I will probably  go over to PetSmart and get him and cookie.

Negligent

I finished this outfit a few days after the last post, but neglected to get this post done until now.  I have recently decided to work a pretty serious retail deal and it's monopolizing most of my time.  There has been no personal knitting going on.

I don't know if it's clear enough for you to see, but the thread around the letter "A" is in this same pale green as the ruffled pant bottoms.
Well, there is a crocheted hat in the works.  I will endeavor to show it sometime this week.  Take care everyone!!

Endings and Beginnings

No more Monkey socks on the needles.  I am so happy to have finally completed them.  I pretty much breezed through the second sock.  I had the pattern memorized and I was able to chat with a friend, watch a movie, and knit in the car.  None of which I could do while knitting the first sock.

After it's all said and done, it wasn't a bad knit.  I may even make them again sometime.  You know that I'm very careful about saying never, so I'll just say you never know.

Details:
Monkey Sock pattern by Cookie A.
My own hand painted sock yarn
Magic loop on size 3 circular needles

I've begun knitting for a new pair of capri pants that should be completed by the weekend.  I will show them again when they are done.

That's all I've got.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Can't Leave the Girls Out

I have a "thing" for pink and brown. It makes me happy. I also like pink and black...er, uh pink and green, hmmm let's see...pink and yellow. Maybe it's just the pink. I like pink and I like this little baby hat. I decided to attach a pompom to this one. It has not been permanantly attached because I'm not sure if I like the braided cord. I may try and i-cord and see which I like better.

This next picture is my favorite view of the hat. Stripes during decreases are so fun--to look at anyway--not SO much fun to execute, but it's worth it in the end.

I have an order for baby hats and booties for the boutique that is selling my closet dividers. I have been ordering lots of yarn and I am now ready to begin the knitting. I'll show pics as I go. Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!

Already Sweet

This is the beginning of a little hat to be worn with these booties that are listed in my Etsy shop. It's just a simple roll brim, but I think the addition of the green flower is going to make it super cute. I've begun to oooh and awww over it already. You want to know something funny about me? I watch "A Baby Story" on TLC most times while I'm knitting for babies. I so LOVE babies. They are so sweet.

I can't see any reason why I wouldn't show a completed project pic tomorrow, can you? Let's just count on it!

Have a blessed day!

Order Up!

A thank you card, business cards, and care instructions to be included

I think that I knit these pants quicker than any others ever before. I told Stephanie that I would have them ready and listed with Etsy today. By George, I did it. I am doing the river dance right now (only in my mind, and even there I'm missing some steps). lol

I will be working on another custom order throughout the week and probably into next week. At the same time, I will intermittently work on the hat that matches the brown, green, white striped purse, and I will also be working on my mother's socks. Rather adventerous, I know.
Today is my mother-in-law's birthday. Happy Birthday mom. May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you and give you peace.
Have a super-fantastic day.

I Present To You an FO

You know, I can really appreciate blogging. It seems to make a girl do what she said she would. I have actually finished these pants in a week's time, because I said I would. Let's see if this type of trend continues. I have LOTS of sock yarn. Maybe this is just the thing to get it out of the bag and onto the needles, and then off the needles and onto some feet. ;)

The ruffles on the behind were fun and interesting. The next time I make a pair in this style, I won't take the ruffles all the way to the sides. Do you see how they stick out? It's hard to know how a thing will look without a model. I might love how they stick out on a baby. Oh well, someone will just have to buy them and send me a picture.

I had to weave in 33 ends. I like how the pants look inside out. Someone asked me the other day if they could be worn inside out. Well, no. Maybe some day I will make them in garter stitch.

As I said yesterday, I will list them in etsy today or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow. I have a pair of booties for which I need to make a matching hat (I haven't even cast on yet). I will put it in writing now that I will make it today. There. That settles it -- maybe?

Have a good Wednesday.

Front? Check.

I finished knitting the front of these capri pants last night and they are now being blocked. I should get them sewn together some time today and will list them in my etsy shop Wednesday or Thursday.

Look at all of those ends to be woven in. That's not fun. The good part of it is that they are so adorable. I don't have any baby girl's around me to try them on. Maybe I will have to buy a life-sized baby doll. Hmmmm. That is something to consider. I had never thought of that before.

I don't always make booties to match, but I will have to make some for these.

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Have a wonderful day everyone!
